When Baxi approved installer Ben Lawrence, of BSL Heating, Cambridge, isn’t installing or servicing boilers, he’s fishing – and he’s a rather good angler! In fact, he and his partner came third in the recent ZeeBra fishing competition in The Netherlands, against anglers from Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and England.

Baxi was pleased to sponsor Ben for the competition, which took place on 15 and 16 August 2020 at Spuibuzem Lake. To earn his third place, Ben caught 106 kilos of bream during the two-day competition.
He said: “It was very hot, but after the year we’ve had so far, it was great to be back to competitive angling. Keeping to your spot is part of the competition, so social distancing was not a problem. I am delighted to have achieved third place in this international competition.”
Ben set up BSL Heating in 2017 and his business has gone from strength to strength. His work is mainly installing and servicing boilers and he became a Baxi approved installer in July 2018. Ben added: “Baxi makes fantastic products and the support you get from the company is second to none. I have absolutely no problem recommending the products as the best on the market.”
