Star Refrigeration's stand at Chillventa will include a number of innovative chillers and heat pumps.
The Indigochiller is a high efficiency packaged ac chiller for building services, process, IT and food and drink applications. Featuring the oil-free Turbocor compressor, units are available in air or water-cooled versions from 250 kW to 1,650 kW.
The Azanechiller is a low charge, high efficiency, air or water-cooled ammonia packaged chiller for applications including HVAC, process cooling, food and drink production, cold storage and distribution and the ice rink/leisure industry. Capacities range from 200 kW to 800kW with units factory load tested before despatch.
The company's Envitherm high efficiency transcritical CO
2 heat pump, providing simultaneous heating and cooling. Targeted at large buildings such as hotels, hospitals, offices, food factories and process facilities, it has a combined COP of over 7.
Also in the heat pump line-up is Neatpump - a renewable energy ammonia heat pump system that extracts heat from secondary cooling loops, seawater, air or any industrial waste stream. This waste heat is used to provide hot water at up to 90°C. Typical applications include food processing, dairy, brewing and distilling, process heating, district heating and desalination.
Also being shown is the Glacier in-line cooling solution featuring a low charge ammonia refrigeration package coupled to a spiral freezer/chiller. Key features include low operating costs, high efficiency, reverse cycle defrost.
