JTL partners with Nottinghamshire college

JTL, the national training provider for plumbing and heating apprenticeships, has announced its new partnership with Vision West Nottinghamshire College.

The partnership, which will focus on the delivery of electrical apprenticeships, will enhance the learners’ experience, as well as helping meet the skills needs of employers and, in turn, encourage greater local economic prosperity. Vision West Nottinghamshire College will be delivering the knowledge-based elements of the apprenticeship course, whilst JTL will work alongside the college to deliver the reviews, assessments and other aspects of the apprenticeship.

Each apprentice will be allocated a dedicated JTL training officer who will assist them through their learning process, as well as providing invaluable support to employers who have a JTL apprentice attending the college.

JTL’s chief executive, Jon Graham, said: ‘‘We are delighted to be forming this new strategic relationship with Vision West Nottinghamshire College. By bringing the strengths of both organisations together, I am confident that the new partnership will provide local young people with the opportunity to develop career-ready skills and will also benefit local employers by giving them access to a home-grown talent pool.”

Principal and chief executive at Vision West Nottinghamshire College, Andrew Cropley, said: “We are very excited about our partnership with JTL, which will combine the strength of the college in offering day release training to our apprentices and JTL’s strength in delivering high quality work-based learning. This means that our local employers will receive an even better service and experience for their budding electricians. The college has committed, through its strategic plan, to working in partnership with others to ensure that we meet the needs of our local communities, this is yet one more example of that strategic vision coming to life.”
