Cofathec and Elyo merger leads to Cofely name
GDF Suez created the Cofely brand name for its energy services activities and it has already replaced the Cofathec and Elyo names in the UK and France.

The new brand will gradually be adopted by the other energy services companies within GDF SUEZ's Energy Services business including Axima and GTI in Europe.

COFELY has in the UK and Republic of Ireland a turnover of £300 million and employs 2,700 in 23 regional offices. Elyo's workload includes fulfilling its contract to build and operate the energy centers and community energy networks for 2012 London's Olympic Park and Stratford city.

'Cofely is currently the leading European brand for environmental and energy efficiency services. The new name will support the development of our energy services business line to better meet the needs of our customers, both businesses and municipalities', said Jérôme Tolot, a member of the GDF Suez executive committee.
