Danfoss invests big in heatpump plant in Poland

Danish controls manufacturer Danfoss is to invest €20m in its new heatpump production facility in Poland and the firm says the factory will be the largest producer of heat pumps in the country.
Danfoss' plant, in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, is employing 150 people as part of the firm's €12m investment but the company said employment at the factory will increase to 250 people and its investment will exceed €20m.

As well as heatpumps, the Danfoss plant will also produce electrical cables and heating mats.

The company, present in Poland since 1991, has already invested more than €80m in the country. It has had a production plant in Grodzisk Mazowiecki for 10 years. Danfoss also has plants in Wroclaw and Chwaszczyn.

'Poland is a good place to expand to European markets”, said Niell Hansen, CEO at Danfoss Polska.

“We expect the new investment will increase our sales by 15% this year”, said Adam Jedrzejczak, Danfoss financial director.
