A free taster course is being run by NICEIC, the voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry, in conjunction with IGEM (Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers) for gas professionals who are looking to get involved with the Green Deal.
The event will give attendees an insight into the opportunities available as a gas operative and how individuals or companies can look to find work.
IGEM's Julie Adcock said: 'Green Deal represents a great opportunity for gas installers as many of the energy saving initiatives are linked to the work they already do. This free, informal event will give people a basic knowledge of what Green Deal is, how it will work and how firms can get involved.'
The event takes place from 6pm on Tuesday 19 March at IGEM House, High Street, Kegworth, Derbyshire DE74 2DA.
