Hollett joins Summitskills as new head of environmental technologies

Nigel Hollett has joined Summitskills, the Sector Skills Council for the Building Services Engineering (BSE) sector, as head of environmental technologies.
Hollett has moved into his new role from Utility Partnership Ltd (UPL), where he was involved in setting up and developing a new sustainability and renewable energy division.

He has experience in a variety of work involving the practical implementation of new low carbon technologies on new and existing buildings, including recent work with Welsh Health Estates to raise understanding of Feed in Tariffs and forthcoming Renewable Heat Incentive funding mechanisms.

Hollett will be leading the green agenda for the BSE sector, engaging stakeholders and enhancing Summitskills’ profile in this area.  Setting occupational standards, developing qualifications and ensuring competency of those working with environmental technologies will be key to his role, as well as influencing policy at the highest level.
