Refrigeration Show set to be the best yet, say insiders
The industry has reacted positively to the new name, date and venue for the event formerly known as The ACR Show with a number of exhibitors and sponsors already signed up. Fujitsu, Toshiba Air Conditioning, Lordan, Thermonfin, Carrier Rental Systems, Jumo Instruments, Broughton Electro Air Products, First Choice Refrigeration Spares, Polestar Products, Prihoda UK, Stainless Finishing Solutions, Qingdao TianyiCool Co, Vulkan Industries, Parcel Holders, Green Zone Surveys, Oxford Hardware, Rullion and more are all excited about the move to London’s ExCeL, placing the show in easy reach of big business.
Fujitsu has promised an ‘avalanche’ of new products. Product manager Colin Goode comments: “At the last count there were some 76 new products coming through. Not all of them will make it to the UK, but the ones that will make it are being prepped for launch over the coming months.”
The new 2017/18 catalogue, ready around May or June this year, will include many of the new products, most of which will be displayed at the 2018 show. In fact, 2017 promises to be the busiest year Fujitsu has seen for quite a while as far as new products are concerned: “The ‘avalanche’ of new products coming through is partly due to the opening of a new R&D facility in Thailand which has effectively doubled our R&D capacity since it opened last year,” explains Colin.
Commenting on Fujitsu’s continued support for the HVAC & Refrigeration Show, he continues: “We exhibited at the 2016 event because we had three mainstream products to launch. With so many more new products scheduled to come through this year, committing to next year’s show was a bit of a “no brainer”. The move back to a London venue was also an added benefit, which we believe will attract higher visitor numbers.”
First Choice Refrigeration Spares incorporates specialist knowledge of the refrigeration trade and supplies spare parts and technical information for many of the leading brands. It also assists with van stock and ancillary items from the likes of Embraco, Danfoss, Mastercool, Testo and Draper. Commenting on what visitors can expect to see at the show, Steve James, Refrigeration Manager at First Choice Group said: “The division will be at the 2018 HVAC & Refrigeration Show to display a range of its most sought after products including coil cleaning spares, controls, OEM cabinet parts, walk-in parts & refrigeration tools.”
A specialist in stainless steel finishing, new exhibitor Stainless Steel Finishing Solutions has a number of products to suit every application within various industry sectors. General manager, Neil Wall says: “We are really pleased to be exhibiting at the HVAC and Refrigeration Show 2018. We have specialised in this sector for some time now and it’s an exciting prospect for us to finally be able to attend a dedicated forum for this market.
“We will be providing live demonstrations throughout the event of the very latest in market leading Stainless Steel Finishing Technology, including Electrolytic Cleaning, Polishing and Etching.”
Peter Chitson, sales manager for Vulkan Industries comments: “As Lokring is a market leader in Cold Pipe Jointing, Vulkan Industries considers the show the best platform for networking with existing and potential customers. The show gives us the chance to demonstrate our existing range of Lokring products as well as our latest innovations.
“London has always been an area where hot works is an issue, so the new location will bring a whole new audience who will appreciate the benefits of this established technology and its ease of use, we are very much looking forward to the show and the new opportunities that it will undoubtedly bring.”
Following its award-winning success in other service industries, first time exhibitor Parcel Holders is launching in the HVAC&R sectors. Managing director, Ed Fraser says: “Our super-efficient tech service works with our national PickUp DropOff network of shops – ensuring field engineers get the parts they need faster. Visit us on Stand E38 to chat about how we can save your business time, money and fuel.”
Event manager Karena Cooper comments: “We are committed to producing an outstanding, market driven industry event that promotes innovation and supports industry growth across multiple sectors. Live events give a greater understanding of what people think and which projects they are directly or indirectly involved in. As the UK’s only commercial event, the HVAC & Refrigeration Show should already be in your diary”.
