Pipe and Climate Center has invested £180k into streamlining the offering at its Kings Cross facility in London following increased demand for its essential product lines.
At the start of the year, construction analysts Glenigan projected a growth in commercial construction, much of which was to originate from London. As many of these projects are now well underway, distributors such as Pipe and Climate Center are seeing an increase in footfall from contractors collecting essential items en route.
The convenient location of Pipe and Climate Center Kings Cross means that it is the ideal branch to hold a depth of stock for core pipes, valves and fittings. Furthermore it opens at 6.30am which is earlier than any other branch in the local area and is easily accessible by foot and public transport.
By conducting research into the buying patterns of its customers in Kings Cross, Pipe and Climate Center was able to identify a need to enhance its typical installation product range, including copper, stainless steel, carbon steel, plastic and malleable steel products. The range covers various application requirements and installation methods, from solder ring through to press fitting across approximately 1400 product lines with 60 different suppliers. All of which are commonly found on any construction and maintenance projects.
As well as working with customers to ensure the product lines are relevant, Pipe and Climate Center ensured that the branch team was instrumental in designing the new range which incorporates products from Georg Fischer, Pegler Yorkshire and Geberit.
