Plumb and Parts Center has opened a new branch on Anglesey in Wales, which means customers no longer have to cross the Menai Bridge to visit their nearest branch.
Located in Gaerwen, in the centre of Anglesey, the branch has been customised to meet locals needs and includes a retail display for everyday essentials and access to products previously not available on the island, such as boilers manufactured by Vokera.
Branch manager Aled Parry previously headed up the Bangor branch. He said: 'Even though there are easy connections to the mainland, it does feel different working on the island. It definitely has its own community feel.'
The new branch has created four jobs and is the first new site under a project to pinpoint potential locations across the UK where Plumb and Parts Center doesn’t have a presence.
Central operations director Tim Broadhurst said: 'A new Plumb and Parts site in Folkestone, Kent, is due to follow in late summer. We have also relocated our branch from Forest Hill in south London to a new site in nearby Sydenham. The aim is to open 10 new locations within the next year.'
