Schwank launches energy saving app

Schwank, the gas fired infrared radiant heating specialist, has launched a new app to help to highlight potential savings in businesses' heating bills.
Based on the practical and easy-to-use energy calculator at www.schwank.co.uk, the new tool is now available on Android and iPhone operating systems and can be downloaded for free.

It takes the user through a range of logical steps to demonstrate the savings that could be made in heating interior spaces within an industrial or commercial building, for both new buildings and retrofits. A comparison is made between the gas consumption of the existing system and a newly installed system incorporating the latest energy saving technology.

This estimate is reached through a set of questions involving the building's dimensions and age, desired room temperature (default setting 19degC), number of working hours, and current gas price. The final calculation will not only indicate energy and cost savings that can be made, but also shows the carbon reduction levels that can be achieved.
