Vaillant has chosen National Energy Action (NEA) as its charity for 2017.
Throughout this year Vaillant will be launching a number of initiatives to help raise valuable funds and drive awareness of NEA, which works tirelessly to end fuel poverty in the UK.
Vaillant has committed to making a donation for every sale of its ecoFIT sustain combination boiler into the social housing sector. It will also run fundraising campaigns at each event and exhibition it attends in the social housing market during 2017.
In addition, staff will host their own fundraising initiatives. These have already started with NEA’s Nation’s Biggest House Warming event in honour of Fuel Poverty Awareness Day which took place on 17th February.
Vaillant marketing director Alice Woolley said: “Fuel poverty is a real issue for over four million households here in the UK, which is why we are delighted to be able to lend our support to NEA. The whole team here at Vaillant is really passionate about trying to raise as much money and awareness as they can and our plans are already well underway.”
Maria Wardrobe, director of communications and external relations at NEA added: “We are thrilled to have been chosen as Vaillant’s nominated charity for 2017. The company has worked closely with the social housing sector for many years, so has a real understanding of some of the fuel issues facing people today. We’re confident that by working together we can take a big step forward in our journey towards ending fuel poverty.”
