British fan manufacturer, Vent-Axia, has continued its 80th anniversary festivities with a staff celebration at its head office at Manor Royal in Crawley.
At the event staff enjoyed lunch and cake to celebrate the firm’s milestone and a formal photograph of the staff was taken to mark the occasion. Staff members were each given 80th Anniversary mementoes and a framed copy of the photograph from the day. Similar celebrations also took place in Vent-Axia's Dudley manufacturing facility.
Managing director Mark Hoskins said: “Being a successful, innovative manufacturer for 80 years is a great achievement and one that we are very proud of. As part of the celebrations, we wanted to hold events that all our valued staff could be part of and enjoy. Without our experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated staff we wouldn’t be the company we are today and we are very grateful to them. Thank you to every one of them.”
The recent staff events follow on from Vent-Axia’s formal celebration ceremony in September at its headquarters in Crawley where Henry Smith, MP for Crawley, and The Worshipful, the Mayor of Crawley, Councillor Raj Sharma buried a time capsule in its grounds.
In addition to these celebrations, the company is supporting any staff undertaking charity fundraising to mark its anniversary. With many members of staff being active in fundraising, the ‘80 for 80’ initiative is supporting their efforts with a donation of £80 to a member of staff’s chosen cause to help them meet their target, whether it is running 10k or baking cakes.
