Primarily, Essco was using the opportunity to promote its offering to installers wanting to deliver the best performance for customers having heat pumps installed in their properties: a market which is continuing to gather pace, but which remains a challenge for heating engineers who are unfamiliar with the renewable technology. In particular, ESBE’s sales team were working alongside their Essco colleagues to ensure installers would ‘get up to speed’ with the manufacturer’s divertor valves.
Commercial Director, Matt Lowe, commented: “Spring return valves are often used in central heating systems with a boiler as they are designed for lower flow rates, but they may not be suitable for higher flow rate heat pump systems as they create a high pressure drop within the system and therefore installers should specify valves with a higher KVS – or flow rate – for diverting flow from a heat pump to heating or hot water and ESBE diverter valves are perfectly suited to heat pump applications. Crucially they are designed for managing high flow rates with low delta T to maximise the efficiency of the system, reduce water hammer and avoid breakdowns. Historically ESBE is a bulletproof brand making great products. They know their stuff and support us well with technical knowledge and good customer service. We are proud to be the UK distributor of a quality brand such as ESBE.”
ESBE’s UK & Ireland Sales Manager, Darren Myers, confirmed: “Our VRG130 and 230 3-way rotary diverting valves benefit from being motor-on, motor-off operation and are available in a range of sizes from DN15 to DN50 with up to 10 bar (PN10) operating pressure, and connections to suit all pipe dimensions, each with multiple KVS options. Importantly, our VRGs are quick and easy to install and can be supplied with a matching ESBE series ARA600 actuator.”
