Hargreaves fires up its safety credentials

Hargreaves, a provider of complete HVAC solutions, has become the first UK company to successfully test its Fire Systems ductwork for a period of two hours, meeting the new Construction Products Regulations (CPR).

Hargreaves, a provider of complete HVAC solutions, has become the first UK company to successfully test its Fire Systems ductwork for a period of two hours, meeting the new Construction Products Regulations (CPR).

As of 1st July 2013, a new harmonised European Standard was introduced to cover the manufacture of all fire rated smoke control ductwork. This standard means that all manufacturers must ensure that their products are CE marked in line with this directive.

Hargreaves has implemented factory production control measures to ensure that its Fire Systems products, including all supports and ancillaries, are fully compliant with the latest Construction Products Regulations test standards.

In a bid to support the industry, Hargreaves’ national sales manager for Fire Systems, Shaun Byrne is presenting free ‘learn and lunch’ hour-long CPD seminars throughout the UK and Ireland. The new standard and its implications to specifiers, contractors and installers will be discussed at these sessions with supporting literature available to all attendees.
