The prestigious HVR Awards for Excellence held on October 11 at 8 Northumberland, London were sponsored by the HVCA, Flakt Woods, Humidity Solutions, Riello Burners, Trox and Panasonic.
The winners were presented with their awards by a representative from each of the sponsors at the glittering gala event hosted by comedian Adam Bloom.
The Contractor of the Year award was presented by Barry Gregory managing director of Riello Burners. The award was collected by Ian Gray, gas servicing manager, Vaughan Williams, electrical manager, Paul Smith, operations director and Duncan Impey, gas installation manager on behalf of Blue Flame.
The Consultant of the Year award was handed out by external sale engineer Faye Young of Flakt Woods to Danny Madden, principal mechanical engineer and David Stafford, director of SI Sealy & Associates for their work on a wide range of projects across market sectors.
The Air Conditioning Product of the Year award was given to Colman Moducel for its Fan Wall Technology. The award was presented to general sales manager Joe Wieckowski by Neil Everitt, Editor of ACR News.
The Sustainable Project of the Year went to Sanyo Air Conditioners for Woodspring Priory in Weston-Super-Mare. Bob Cowlard accepted the award on behalf of Sanyo. It was presented by Ian Sams managing director of TROX UK.
The Commercial Ventilation Product of the Year was awarded for Lindab's MBB plenum box. The award was presented by John Barker of Humidity Solutions and was collected by Andy Watton, regional sales manager at Lindab.
The winner of the Commercial Heating Product of the Year was Lochinvar's HSV Thermal Store. It was presented to Lochinvar's managing director David Pepper by Jan Thorpe representing the sponsor, Hevar.
The Sustainable Product of the Year was awarded for Kyle Electronic Design's Eco-wand ComfoMeter. The award was presented by Panasonic's Paul Taylor to Kyle's owner Alex Gardiner.
Next year's awards will be held in London on 10th October. Once again, the HVCA has agreed to support the event.
