BOILER manufacturer Hoval has teamed up with a grower of willow short rotation coppice (SRC) to sell SRC wood pellets as a carbon neutral biomass fuel. Hoval's partnership with Strawsons Energy to promote the pellets, known as KoolFuel, was made in response to huge demand for biomass boilers as councils look to reduce their carbon footprint. Woodfuels are classified as carbon neutral because the C02 released during burning equals the C02 taken out of the air by plants as they grow.
