Many maintenance-dependent industries and organisations rely on hvac rental equipment. HVR spoke to Marc White from CRS to find out what the company has been doing since its acquisition of the Longville Group
Following the acquisition of hvac rental operation the Longville Group by Carrier Rental Systems (CRS), the company says it has retained all the experience of the teams which have operated in the UK market for many years.
It adds that further investment is also underway.
'We know that offering a comprehensive service before, during and after hire is key to the acceptability and usefulness of rental as a temperature management strategy for many businesses,' says Marc White, CRS' UK sales director
Under what circumstances is hvac equipment rental required? 'Our business is about temperature control,' says White.
'Air conditioning requirements therefore don't just come from office buildings but can commonly come from a wide variety of industrial
application.
'We get asked for fluid chillers for process and production cooling or for connecting into existing chilled water air conditioning systems.
'We also deal with requests for boilers and accompanying power generation. There are many different situations that trigger the need for a hire contract.
'But it is an increasingly popular option that solves a large number of problems, especially if it's not just a question of having equipment arrive and then having to deal with it yourself.'
Building on the expertise of Longville's UK hvac arm, CRS says it has extended its range of products and services.
'We can supply the complete temperature control hire package if required, which could include a combination of liquid chillers; dry-air coolers; air handling units; boiler; heat rejection; IDF heaters; temporary pipework; distribution and generators,' says White.
'Carrier Rental Systems now provides everything from a small package of less than 10kW to units of 1200kW, which is the largest individual unit available in the European hire market and can be used in combination for larger capacities with pipe work, manifold and pump packages also supplied.'
