Mr Longford has taken on the role of head of sales and operations for the 160 branch-strong supplier of plumbing and heating products, and will be focusing on driving sales and margin growth while being based nationwide.
He spent the first years of his career in retail and distribution before moving into the HVAC sector, where he has since become well versed in having direct experience and interaction with Gas Safe installers. He fostered these skills whilst acting as general manager for Ravenheat Manufacturing, a domestic boiler manufacturer with a strong presence in European and Far Eastern markets.
In regards to accepting his new position, Mr Longford stated: “It’s a great opportunity to advance my career and be involved in an evolutionary merchanting sector as we advance our operations to be relevant to our current and future customers. Selling boilers can be a complex process but merchanting is one touch-point that if executed well can make the approach much smoother. The key to success though is great customer service and a strong understanding of what you’re selling.”
