Support programme helps installers get back to work

As the lockdown restrictions ease, Vaillant has launched two new support offers that are set to further assist installers with building their businesses back up after a long period of uncertainty.

The two new initiatives have been designed to support installers businesses now they are able to work in customers’ homes and return to a new normal way of working.

The first is the homeSAFE programme, which aims to give installers guidance and advice on how to work in a customer’s home safely.

The second new initiative is a high value boiler bundle offer which includes the ecoFIT pure range of combi boilers, flue and the new Vaillant Boiler Protection Kit. Plus, when registered on the Vaillant Advance loyalty programme, installers can claim an additional £50 cashback and a 10-year guarantee.

The homeSAFE programme

homeSAFE builds on the package of business support that Vaillant has been delivering since 2019, including free online business clinics, product training and support materials, all designed to help installers with the latest government guidance and business support during the lockdown period.

As work starts to return, the objective of the homeSAFE programme is to help strengthen both installers and consumer confidence, when entering homes to carry out work in a safe and secure manner.

Installers who register for homeSAFE will need to complete an hour-long online health and safety training course which covers the latest health and safety legislation in the UK, how to prepare for customer visits and how to successfully conduct risk assessments, to ensure your working environment is kept safe.

Once the course is completed, installers will receive a homeSAFE certificate to confirm they have undertaken the course along with a PPE pack, safe working guides, and homeSAFE branded materials including a van sticker and marketing assets for use on customer-facing materials.

Spencer Clark, commercial director for Vaillant says: “As a manufacturer Vaillant felt it necessary to continue working over these last four months to focus on really supporting all installers. During the lockdown we have offered a wide range of educational, promotional and practical measures - including free online skill building training courses, business support webinars, and PPE equipment.

“These two new initiatives are the next step of many when it comes to our ongoing support commitment. As a manufacturer, we believe the industry has a responsibility to support installers, making sure they have the correct training in place. The homeSAFE programme provides structured guidance and in-depth health and safety training so that installers feel fully prepared to work safely in homes at a time when consumers may still have concerns or feel nervous. More than simply supplying badges and stickers, the homeSAFE programme enables installers to demonstrate that their customers health and safety is their priority, whilst the high value boiler bundle promotion sets to further support installers with a competitive price point to help secure more installation work over the remainder of 2020”.

The homeSAFE programme is open to all Gas Safe registered installers who are on the Vaillant Advance loyalty scheme.
