Time-saving gas pipe solution

TracPipe is expanding its network of UK stockists in response to installer demand for same-day delivery.
TracPipe is a stainless steel semirigid gas pipe that is said to be becoming 'the recognised alternative to traditional rigid copper or steel pipework installed between the meter and an appliance'.

Manufacturer Omegaflex says that TracPipe typically saves up to 75 per cent of the time normally required for a steel or copper pipe installation.

'As more and more installers experience the time-saving benefits of TracPipe, we need to ensure that they can readily access what they need, when they need it,' said TracPipe sales and marketing director Tony Dark.

'TracPipe has been available for next-day delivery through virtually all of the UK's leading distributors when ordered by 1pm, but in 2011, we made the decision to expand our network of distributors who can give installers exceptional service by offering our product as a stocked item - thereby offering same-day service of our product.'

Current distributors offering sameday service of TracPipe include Collister & Glover, TG Lynes, Warrens, Harris & Bailey, Michael Pavis, Frasier & Ellis and Smith Brothers.

The latest stockist to add TracPipe to its range of domestic heating, plumbing and bathroom products is Heating Plumbing Supplies (HPS).

With 26 branches across the South of England, HPS aims to have TracPipe in-stock in as many branches as possible within the next few months - so installers can simply drop by and pick-up what they need.

'We're delighted to add TracPipe to our range,' said HPS sales and marketing director Peter Wilson.

'This is a truly unique product that offers a valuable labour-saving option. It's a new product opportunity for HPS, we don't carry anything else like it.'

BSS Industrial has recently added cut length kits and compression fittings to its already comprehensive range of TracPipe stainless steel gas pipe products. Stocked at its Magna Park national distribution centre, the new lines are now available at UK-wide branches or through next day delivery.

BSS Industrial is confident that TracPipe, claimed to be a viable alternative to traditional rigid copper or steel pipework, will be a popular choice with its customers.

Says the company: 'Its flexibility allows it to be shaped by hand which allows further retrofit and refurbishment capabilities. The product is made from a lightweight material and features fewer joints to remove the need for welding - making life easier for the user.'

The ½in, ¾in, 1in and 1.1/4in kits are supplied in 5m, 10m and 15m lengths with self-amalgamating tape - ideal for smaller installations. The new TracPipe to copper compression fittings allow it to be easily connected to existing 15mm, 22mm and 28mm copper pipework.

Neil Warwick, product group manager for BSS Industrial, said: 'As a leading distributor we can provide a strong logistics solution which allows us to offer reliable availability at branch or delivery within 24 hours.

'TracPipe has many benefits such as fast installation times and ease when retrofitting. We're confident that customers will see the advantages of using this product and the excellent availability we offer will make it easily accessible.'
