The Heatrae Sadia Megaflo commercial cylinder.
Set up by builder Addam Smith, after his friend Keith Ellick was diagnosed with terminal cancer, the Band of Builders movement supports projects across the country to make the lives of tradespeople – who may be suffering from an illness or financial hardship – easier.
To support Band of Builders, Wolseley UK has donated an indirect 1,450L Megaflo commercial cylinder to the movement. Plans are currently being put in place to ensure it benefits the right project.
Richard Harvey, category director of heating and renewables at Wolseley, said: “We’re always keen to help in our communities where we can. This movement is an incredible example of tradespeople working together to help others in need. Band of Builders has done some amazing work and we hope this donation will help them reach their goals.”
Steve Rickards, commercial director at Heatrae Sadia, added: “We are delighted that Band of Builders will be able to benefit from this Megaflo Commercial cylinder. We look forward to hearing about how they plan on using the cylinder for the benefit of the building community.”
Capturing the hearts of many, Builders has now introduced a Facebook page as a channel for tradespeople to share their highs and lows, seek support and have some fun, as well as spreading the word about others in need.
