HVR Awards 2017 open for entries

Launched in 2010, the HVR Awards is designed to celebrate innovation in the building services sector. Recognising and rewarding companies that demonstrate excellence in the field, the Awards identify outstanding technology, exceptional customer service and true novelty in the way companies operate or in what they produce. The HVR Awards 2017 will take place at the 5* Chelsea Harbour Hotel, London, on Thursday 26th October.

Entries for the HVR Awards 2017 open today (Monday 3rd April 2017). This year, the HVR Awards has introduced a brand new category: Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year. This category is open to all heating and ventilating wholesalers or distributors operating in the UK and is one of three categories open to public voting. Customer Service Person of the Year and Trainee of the Year will also be determined by votes.

The finalists of the remaining categories will be decided by an independent panel of experts. The categories are: Commercial Air Conditioning Product of the Year, Commercial Heating Product of the Year, Commercial Ventilation Product of the Year, Contractor of the Year, Sustainable Product of the Year and Sustainable Project of the Year.

An exemplary sponsor line up

The HVR Awards 2017 is sponsored by a number of outstanding brands that recognise the importance of winning a coveted award at the event. Paul Sands, sales and marketing director at Stokvis Energy Systems, explains: “We believe it is important to present awards to companies for innovative teams, individuals and products to help ensure that all companies within the industry strive for excellence.”

Chris Forbes, managing director at Marflow, shares a similar view. He states: “The HVR awards ceremony is a great way to showcase all that is good within the HVAC industry; to recognise both individuals and companies for their achievements and successes over the previous year and to celebrate best practice and positive steps forward within the industry.”

An association between the prestigious HVR Awards and a number of influential sponsors results in the event being one of the most anticipated in the industry. Les Littlewood, sales and marketing director at Albion Valves UK Ltd, clarifies: “Albion Valves UK Ltd is delighted to be sponsoring the HVR Awards this year in the Contractor of the Year category, and is honoured to be associated with HVR as the industry’s premier media title.

“As an organisation Albion strives for excellence, so recognising a contractor that goes the extra mile to provide a great service was a natural connection to make.”

Furthermore, the HVR Awards 2017 is a fantastic opportunity to network and connect with members of the heating and ventilation industry. Adrian Smith, marketing manager at Smith Brothers Stores Ltd, highlights the importance of attending the awards: “We feel it is important to lead from the front by supporting our industry and the people within it and celebrating everyone’s hard work, so this sponsorship is ideal to publically show our commitment.

“The event celebrates everything good within our industry and therefore is a great opportunity to catch up with all your colleagues and peers,” he says.

Returning to sponsor the HVR Awards again is lead sponsor BESA, the UK’s leading trade organisation for building engineering services contractors. Also joining the sponsor line up is international pump manufacturing business Wilo. The awards are supported by The Industrial and Commercial Energy Association (ICOM).

Sponsoring the HVR Awards is a brilliant opportunity to form an association with one of the most prestigious awards in the heating and ventilation industry and to increase your brand’s reach at an established event attended by potential new clients.
